How do I get to the Outer Banks?
From the West: Take US-64E to Manteo, cross the Washington Baum Bridge and stay to left. From the North: Take I-64 to Route 168 to US Hwy 158, cross the Wright Memorial Bridge.

How long must I book a room in advance?
You can book a room anytime before your date. However, the sooner you book the more types of rooms will be available to you. Two months in advance is recommended.

Will I be charged immediately or only once I've been to the hotel?
In most cases you will be charged once you've checked in, or the date you are scheduled to check in.

How do I change my reservation dates?
There is no easy way to change the dates for your reservation. You will have to cancel your reservation and book a new one. Make sure you cancel before the deadline so that you are not charged a penalty.

How do I cancel my reservation?
When you are completing the Secure Lodging Reservation Form, the Cancellation Policy will be provided in red or there will be a link to read the cancellation policy. You can also view the property information page to find the cancellation policy. These policies will vary from lodging to lodging, so you must read each one carefully.

How soon must I cancel a reservation so that I don't get charged?
In general, the standard increments are that you must cancel the room(s) by 4 or 6 PM on the arrival date, or 24, 48, or 72 hours prior to your specified arrival; however, these are just general guidelines and the specific policy of the property will prevail. If you cancel before the deadline, generally you will not be charged a penalty. Canceling after the stated period will result in a cancellation penalty fee. Some reservations are non-refundable and cannot be cancelled after booking.

What happens if I just don't show up?
You will be charged for your stay. Make sure you cancel your reservations if you cannot show.


How do I add my Outer Banks hotel to your website?
Fill out our Contact Us form, including your hotel name, contact name, address, and phone number. We will get back with you detailing different options and procedures available.

How do I update or remove my hotel's information on your website?
The information should be in a letter sent to you when we added your hotel to the website. If you have lost this letter, let us know and we will send you the information again.
